Lots of lucky children, and our Library Manager, met a fabulous selection of animals during this week's visit by ZooLab to the library.

Meeting 'Flash' a Giant Afriacan Snail

Say hello to 'Freddo' - he's a White Tree Frog. Yes I know he's a greenish colour but he was named by Mr White who discovered the species. We saw how good Freddo is at jumping and climbing.

We were not able to hold the tarantula as this particular species flicks hairs off its abdomen that cause irritation but we all had a close look at 'Legsley' a Curly-haired Tarantula from Honduras.

This is 'Samantha' who is a Giant Train Millipede from the Congo

Even Juliet got to meet the animals - this is her encounter with 'Ekans' (that's snake backwards) - an albino Corn Snake
