Easter Teddy Bears Sleepover in the Library
After a bedtime story read by our library manager, Juliet, the children left their teddies and other cuddlies in the library. Who knows what they'll get up to! All started quietly with some stories on the blankets...... Then the bears went on an egg hunt round the library. Can you spot your teddy and the eggs? Phew! Time for a break... Then they opened the eggs - they were full of chicks and marshmallows. Happy Easter teddy bears! Goodnight teddy bears!

A Very Hungry Caterpillar at the Library
We had some excellent Very Hungry Caterpillar crafting at the library during our Saturday Storytime recently. The foods eaten by the caterpillar were put onto paper strips and then rolled up and put inside the caterpillars. What a fun activity! We think these caterpillars look very well fed, we're sure they are about to burst into butterflies any minute now! Well done everyone!

Robert, interviewed by Alison Smith, was humourous and enlightening about the writing process for both his novels and the TV adaptations of the novels. Fans of Death in Paradise were not disappointed as he talked about this series as well as the latest book in his cosy crime murder mysteries set in Marlow. Fourbears Books from Caver

Teddy Bears Bedtime in the Library
Lots of children bought their teddy bears and other cuddly toys to the library this evening. The children enjoyed hot chocolate and a special bedtime story before kissing their cuddly toys goodnight and then leaving them in the library to sleepover. Congratulations to Two Hoots, winners of the Library Quiz!
Well done to the Two Hoots Quiz Team on their second time win of the Jenny Jones Library Quiz trophy. The final scores were tight at the top but Two Hoots were just too good, beating The Oddities into second place. The prize for first place was six bottles of wine that had been generously donated by Laithwaites. A fun evening was had by 14 teams and the event was a successful money-raising event for the library.
